Tuipoint, an innovative, easy to use, time-saving mobile app established by a born and bred New Plymouth businessman has got behind Taranaki Rugby.
The fast growing, smart queuing mobile app, allows customers to join a virtual queue from anywhere without having to physically visit the shop. The app also keeps clients informed of their position in the queue.
Designed by ex-New Plymouth Boys’ High School student Matt Brooks the Tuipoint Smart Queuing App is up and running in the Barber and Cafe industries. They are also set up to launch into the Beauty/Nail, Stadium and Automotive industries and with Covid-19 they can tailor their product to accommodate any industry where contactless payment, social distancing, click and collect is relevant. Tuipoint currently operates in two New Plymouth barber shops as well as coffee shop Proof & Stock.
Matt’s virtual queuing technology was born out of growing frustrated at waiting too long for a haircut, in the COVID-19 climate the Tuipoint App suddenly had genuine public safety potential by helping people avoid large gatherings while waiting for a service.
"Our model was created around barber shops, but I knew it would work in other areas and since Covid-19 we've been approached by every sector where customers queue,” Brooks said.
Tuipoint have become a Yarrows Taranaki Bulls Official First 23 Partner and have their brand displayed on the upper back of the Yarrows Taranaki Bulls fullback jersey in 2020.
As part of the partnership Tuipoint have a number of exciting initiatives planned for Alert Level 1 that include giving corporate hospitality guests the chance to have their haircut at a Yarrows Taranaki Bulls match and distributing match tickets to fans who are using the Tuipoint app at local Taranaki barber shops.
Tuipoint Founder / CEO Matt Brooks was thrilled to get behind Taranaki Rugby.
“Our vision for Tuipoint is to make a difference in people’s lives by giving you more of your most valuable asset - time! Less time physically queuing and waiting, more time doing the things you love,” Brooks said.
“Download the Tuipoint App and if your favourite barber shop or cafe isn't there, let us know and we'll approach them about improving their customer’s experience.”
“Having grown up in New Plymouth it was an easy decision when considering sponsorship opportunities and we are proud to be partnering with TRFU at this time of change and challenge for us all,” he said.
Taranaki Rugby Business Development Manager Jimmy Fastier welcomed Tuipoint to the Taranaki Rugby family.
“Matt and Vaughn [Wellington] at Tuipoint are proud Taranaki men delivering a mobile app to users from New Plymouth to London. Tuipoint is clearly a company that strives to be leading edge and customer focused and these are attributes that our teams are trying to achieve on and off the field each week,” Fastier said.
