Nikau Contractors back Taranaki Rugby

100% New Zealand owned and operated firm Nikau Contractors have become a Yarrows Taranaki Bulls First XV Partner.

The Nikau Contractors logo will be displayed on the upper back of a Yarrows Taranaki Bulls starting jersey for the 2022 Bunnings NPC season.

Established in 1980, Nikau Contractors has become New Zealand's leading provider in deconstruction, demolition, environmental hazardous material remediation and consulting.

Over the last two decades Nikau Contractors have successfully completed several large-scale local Taranaki projects including the deconstruction and remediation of the Patea Freezing Works, partial removal and refurbishment at the New Plymouth Power Station at Port Taranaki.

Recently, Nikau Contractors have been deconstructing and remediating the 7.44-hectare Ravensdown site in northern New Plymouth, whilst completing yet another major project for Port Taranaki. They have also been contracted to deliver the demolition of the Corteva Paritutu plant in southern New Plymouth and Education House in the New Plymouth CBD.

Taranaki Rugby Chief Executive Officer Mike Sandle was thrilled to welcome Nikau Contactors into the Taranaki Rugby family.

“Nikau Contractors philosophy is to prepare the way for the future, this has synergies with Taranaki Rugby. Like us, Nikau Contractors aspire for excellence in their field, this is evident in the number of international awards they have won including the 2013 World Demolition Contractor of the Year award.’

On behalf of Taranaki Rugby, we thank Nikau Contractors team for their commitment to Taranaki Rugby and the local community.”
