Canterbury of New Zealand is continuing its relationship with the Taranaki Rugby Football Union by recommitting as one of the Union’s major sponsors and main apparel supplier.

The deal, which extends out to the end of 2022, means Canterbury will continue to supply all of Taranaki Rugby’s high-performance and community teams with appeal on and off the field.

Canterbury began its second stint as the official clothing supplier of Taranaki Rugby in 2010 but first joined Taranaki Rugby as a sponsor in the mid-1990s.

Incoming Taranaki Rugby CEO and recent interim Commercial Manager Laurence Corlett was delighted to have Canterbury of New Zealand back on board.

“To have such a premium and Internationally recognised brand committed to continuing their relationship with Taranaki Rugby is fantastic news.”

Nathan Russell, Sports Marketing Manager, said Canterbury of New Zealand has a rich history, not only with rugby, but provincial rugby and Taranaki in particular.

“We are extremely proud of our long involvement with Taranaki Rugby and look forward to continuing that many years into the future.”

Canterbury will supply hats, caps, beanies, performance underwear, socks, gloves, wristbrands, protective headgear, shoulder pads, medical support braces, rugby jerseys, tracksuits, shorts, kit bags, gear bags, polo shirts and T-shirts as part of the arrangement.

Taranaki Rugby remain a member of a strong rugby sports marketing portfolio for Canterbury, which also includes The British and Irish Lions, Ireland RFU and England RFU’s amongst others.

About Canterbury:

Canterbury has always been a team player. In 1904 they were founded by three friends in New Zealand. They have produced uniforms for the ANZAC forces through World War I to outfitting the All Blacks for over 75 years.

Today, Canterbury is a household name on either side of the Tasman and they produce a wide range of clothing including performance wear, compression wear, on-field apparel, supporters wear and classic and lifestyle seasonal ranges. And the legendary CCC logo can be seen everywhere active people are; on the field, in the stands, at the track and in the gym.
