
Taranaki Rugby is thrilled to announce that CMK Chartered Accountants has signed a two-year extension as the naming rights partner for Taranaki Club Rugby.
This renewal strengthens a long-standing relationship and reaffirms CMK’s commitment to grassroots rugby in the region. Since first becoming the naming rights partner in 2015, CMK has played a pivotal role in supporting the competition’s growth and success.
Taranaki Rugby Community Operations Lead Ben Hitchcock expressed his enthusiasm for the extended partnership, highlighting its significance in sustaining and developing local rugby.

The support CMK provides to our senior club competitions allows players, volunteers, and supporters from all around the maunga to create memorable experiences every Saturday. John and his team are always visible on the sidelines of senior games throughout the season, ensuring they are connecting with a variety of clubs, teams, and communities. This connection shows their unwavering commitment to the community game in our province, and we are extremely grateful for it. Whether it is promoting the game through the ever-popular weekly club videos, providing complimentary balls at selected games to youth, or supporting the teams on the field, CMK are significant contributors to the community game.”
Taranaki’s club rugby competition will continue to be known as CMK Club Rugby, with the CMK logo prominently featured on the sleeve of all eight CMK Premiership playing jerseys.
The 2025 CMK Club Rugby season kicks off on Saturday, March 29th, with a highly competitive lineup featuring 36 senior teams across five grades.
Premier Women get underway on April 25th, with Finals Day scheduled for July 12th at Stadium Taranaki. This year, the competition welcomes exciting new additions, including Pātea Women, Clifton Division 2, and the Okaiawa Colts, further strengthening the depth and quality of rugby across the province.
Beyond club rugby, CMK Chartered Accountants will continue their backing of the Yarrows Taranaki Bulls, with their branding displayed on the upper back of the replacement player jerseys, further cementing their commitment to rugby at all levels.
